rephrasing what i asked: what/who is stopping a man from purchasing/building his own means of production, starting a company, hiring workers, and expanding to a point of success where he only has to sit at his desk twice a week and sign things in order to earn billions?

but then why go to medical school? Unless you REALLY want to be a doctor in a communist system, why wouldn't you just go flip burgers if the difference in quality of life for yourself isn't much more at the end of the day? What's the incentive to overachieve?
