The only modern music i hate is the rap side, forget all it is is just the entire song's lyrics repeated 2 - 3 times and a simple beat with bass amified by 5, very low quality

Everything else is fine tho

all pop music or just today's pop music?  because the beatles count as pop music just so you know

today's pop music
and I made the distinction because people like to pair modern music with modern pop music, there's a forgetton of modern music that I like, I just don't like the canned fakeness in the current music industry where the artists are more models than artists and all the songs are written by like five people

today's pop is wildly underwhelming, but various genres are making great strides. music in general is really nice at this point in history

Yea the mainstream is more entertainment than art but that's not too surprising. You're better off finding new and interesting movements and artists on your own these days. it's kind of extra rewarding that way.
