tl;dr audio driver has a log to detect when a key is pushed, but it's so poorly coded that it logs everything you loving type, and only removes the log on every shutdown/restary in the public users folder

i can't wait to see all of the corps suing because if a certain exec used a laptop with this on it, they could claim company secrets were leaked unintentionally

Now keep in mind that while this is just a small number of specific driver versions (I'm sure this is fairly easy to fix), those that actually have said driver versions will probably never figure out that they have it unless they're pretty on top of tech news, leaving them rather vulnerable... And installing said drivers on someone's computer would be a completely transparent way to get a keylogger on somebody's system, assuming antivirus doesn't catch it.
