In this video, Laci Green discusses her approach to feminism in more detail, highlighting a departure she makes from what appears to be majority opinion: skepticism. She goes on to describe her history on YouTube, contextualizing her recent experiences with "anti-SJW" YouTubers. She critiques the idea that political adversaries should not be talked to, and argues that forms of censorship are replacing real engagement with offensive political ideas. To illustrate her point, she discusses recent free speech controversies within the feminist/anti-feminist spheres: Milo Yiannopolous and the philosophy journal Hypatia. At the end of the video, she makes an announcement.

the announcement is that she will be holding debates on her channel with BOTH SJWs and anti-SJWs

/DISCUSSSSSSS

can i have a bit of a tl;dr* on why this is important
*too lazy; didnt research

shes being a reasonable sjw

Laci Green is known as the embodiment of SJW ideology, and was about as radical as they get.

She's often associated with Francesca Ramsey and Anita Sarkeesian because they all preach the same stuff and enact the same tactics, but are all pretty popular amongst their spheres on the internet. In particular, she would enact false-DMCA takedowns against people who used her image or criticized her arguments, in particular in her most recent spat with Roaming Millennial.

Now, however, after a prolonged break from social media and YouTube, it looks as though she's trying to clean up her act and encourage debate across the aisle, which is loving stunning considering her popularity and her past. It's literally the second coming of Dave Rubin.

TL;DR, imagine Annoying Orange got elected again, that's the likelihood that this was ever going to happen

you mean a human is trying to improve their mind by logically taking both sides of an argument into account, and encouraging healthy debate?

she can't do that! shoot her, or something

nonononononononononono I'm extremely loving happy that she's doing it
I didn't think she would

shes a traitor to sjw's everywhere

kill her

I'd very much like to see her on the Rubin Report.

why is SJWs unbolded while anti-SJWs is bolded

im boldgender and I demand both be bolded in order to conform with my loveual preferences you misogynistic pig

This sounds like a completely reasonable position and a welcome shift from the liberal tradition of refusing to communicate with people holding regressive beliefs.

I'm definitely not the biggest Laci Green fan, but I think this is respectable.

Good to know she'll switch from one dumb viewpoint to another dumb viewpoint.
