This was actually a genius move on Sega's end. Most sonic OC are just recolors of Sonic himself so now Sega can capitalize on all the autistic sonic fans from DeviantArt. Although that's implying that they don't buy every new sonic game anyway.

I'm a bit dissapointed they didn't go with the Dreamcast-era Sonic, but this might actually be a good thing from a gameplay standpoint. If you're able to make a character that has special abilities, that means the game will be a bit more engaging than just holding the X button.

I dont get the request for dream-cast sonic, its literary modern sonic. No big changes what so ever compared to classic sonic.

While there are slight differences in appearence dreamcast sonic plays way differently.

Yeah, firstly its just for replayability. You don't need to get worked up over a feature that doesn't have an impact on the main story.

I understand but still, its the same character and same design. They should do it in a way where it has the gameplay without having to come out with a new sonic era character.
