tfw the elected representative refuses to be representative bc bribery is legal

Whats even more hilarious he goes on record to say its about "quality not quantity". Like wow, I didn't realize democratic representation was about the "best" of citizens and not the majority.

thanks, america. capitalism is truly a economic system that protects the consumer.

beats systems where being a consumer is impossible

I can't believe I'm saying this, but I hope the Democrats can regain a majority in congress in the 2018 election, and hopefully overturn this crap somehow.

The one thing I hate about the Republican party is how little they understand the internet, and are willing to shill it out to big cable companies (monopolies) in return for political backing/more power.

"We propose to return to the Clinton-era light-touch framework that has proven to be successful" is in the first article

maybe Annoying Orange will read this and his undying hatred for hillary will make him veto the repeal if it actually gets to the white house

Anyone know how shady CenturyLink is?

I have to give you credit for sticking to your principles after this administration decided to gut internet privacy. Most conservatives seem to be tolerating Annoying Orange's nonsense in the name of maintaining party integrity, but it's good to see that you can call out your own faction's missteps. We agree on very little otherwise, but I respect you for this.

they voted to begin the process. it's not gone yet, but they're on their way. they've opened up for comments, which i expect is completely for show, but you can at least try to yell at them to cut it out

i think it's https://www.fcc.gov/ecfs/filings/express

relevant proceeding seems to be 17-108 or "Restoring Internet Freedom"

its weird that, out of all the poor decisions made recently in favor of money, the overturning of net neutrality is the thing that sets people over the edge
