Authenticating: Validating Key Forever problem [Please help]

This problem has been going on for months and I never found a solution. I've let it sit for hours and nothing happens, it keeps on saying Authenticating: Validating Key forever. I hate to spam the help section with so many of these topics. I've searched everywhere for a fix but nothing so far has worked. Does anyone know how to solve this problem?

Port Fowarding does nothing for me
Using steam version
No Proxy/VPN

Not sure why this is happening. I've been looking into the functions that send information and it doesn't make sense why this happens to most steam users than non-steam users. It connects to the server and sends information, but doesn't receive anything. Post a console log with trace and maybe we can find the problem. Might be the server not sending information back or the client not reading it somehow.

Looks like the auth server is not sending anything back at all. May want to ask Badspot about it

Blockland worked with my old pc, but  it broke a while back. I'm using a new pc which is the one that doesn't work.

Have you tried reinstalling?

bump, I tried updating my anti spyware and virus protection software to see if it would fix it. Didnt do anything...

Also, whenever I try to join a server, it says that I have not authenticated with the master server

so you can see the server list?

that would mean you can access the master server, but for some reason it doesn't like authenticating you
