I know for sure it exists, although I don't have picture proof.

He wanted everyone to have fun in this server this time, and he specifically stated "d00d lets all spam!" in the chat, and everyone was alright with it.

Again, you say everyone and you seem to forget there were many people wondering what was going on, and you also seem to have forgotten that I happen to be separate from that "everyone". Also, I know for a fact that me and Blockbyte were trying to enjoy the server for what it was said to be: to play around in the kitchen map and have vehicle fun. If Mongler wanted to have a spam party, he could've done it on a private server where normal people weren't trying to ignore the spam and play around in the kitchen.

I'm pretty sure that rule was made to combat people using that excuse when they were being blatant starfishs. but a host and his friends goofing off and spamming their own chat/server doesn't really seem like something to get up in arms about.

Doesn't matter. He still said "just leave my server if you don't like what I'm doing on it". Hence he was banned for it.

^ Badspot also said he isn't banning players for this, as hosters can host servers the way they want. Don't like it? Leave. Simple.

I'm not saying your point is totally invalid, because it isn't, but couldn't you have turned off chat when it started, then turned it on every so often to check if it had stopped? Just a suggestion for the future if you really want to keep playing on a server where chat isn't necessary when people start spamming.
I'm kind of sad to see that Modder was involved since I actually hung out with him for a while until his computer died, but I never really talked to him after he got a new one, fixed his old one, or did whatever he did.
