my game keeps tabbing out

its really annoying and takes like a full 10-15 seconds to get back in-game
i dont know why its happening but if someone could tell me how to fix it, that would be greatly appriciated.

Have you tried fullscreen?

You can also try putting it in windowed mode so windows doesnt freak out over it. Just put it in your resolution.

Use borderless with your desktop resolution instead of fullscreen. Looks exactly the same, but alt+tab is now instant.

what OS are you on?
what actions cause it? is it on the main menu, ingame, on a certain GUI, just all the time and is unplayable?
can you run a trace of it happening?
