I don't think I have had framerate issues on max settings
the only times I have had framerate issues were because it was on my end, it was hot in my room and my laptop CPU was running too hot and started throttling itself, and also was watching youtube with hardware acceleration on the wrong setting, so it was halving the framerate (... just lol@youtube doing that)

honestly, i don't like gta v not because of it's compatibility/port- the game runs just fine for me. the reason i never really liked gta v is because it just never really had that charm to it's singleplayer that i got from GTA 4 & it's DLCs, and the GTAs before that. since it's release, rockstar completely abandoned what imo was the most important to a gta game, the singleplayer, and instead opted to focus almost entirely on their hot new way of getting money, GTA online. no matter how much i try, i just can't get any fun out of it, the whole experience seems to just consist of grinding to level up. the concept of being required to level up to buy guns and get vehicles in a loving GRAND THEFT AUTO game is one of the most ridiculous things i've seen done yet, though that barely even scrapes the surface of my complaints about the game and online. but hey, there are other people trying to remake the multiplayer into something more reminiscent to the classic gta multiplayer, ri- oh wait take-two sent loving private investigators to their homes and C&D'd those too

getting a bit back on-topic, singleplayer modding was pretty much my only way of getting any kind of fun out of this game, vanilla sandbox just wasn't all that fun and i managed to get a little entertainment now and then with mods, and now take-two's gone and pretty much forgeted that up probably for the sole reasoning of getting more attention to the online section of the game which imo is really loving scummy and just makes the game even more stuff

i really regret spending $180 (had to get another gta v copy for pc cause one somehow ended up with broken disks after a while) on getting both PS3 and PC copies of the game

this
yall need to play gta4 if you think this is a bad port
I payed 60 bucks for a game that my PC exceeded the recommended requirements at it's launch, but even at launch it ran like crap.
It's not a matter of "lol you think THAT was bad."
I payed 20 bucks for GTA4, and it would have been stuff for $60, but it was $20 so it was decent.
GTA V was not worth $60 at launch, and it is not worth $5 much less $60 now.
I can play UBISOFT GAMES better than I can play GTA V.
You know, these games:

Those ran better than GTA V on a PC built literally the year before the game came out on Consoles.
GTA V was built for a 2006 machine and then remastered for a 2013 machine and then ported to PC.
There is no loving EXCUSE as to why this stuff couldn't run at decent to high settings on my PC I built the previous year.
AND TO TOP THAT loving stuff OFF, Updates kept making it harder to run, and I think this was done artificially to make it on par with consoles.

Rockstar has shown where their hearts lay, and that's fine, because my loving money, and many other's are not joining them.
I'm half tempted to give away whatever money I have online and other stuff to forget over potential shark cards, not that I wouldn't get banned
for doing so, even though I grinded to get my money instead of cheating, but ya know, if it even reflects a reflection of hurting their micro-transaction profits they flip stuff,
fine, forget em.

I hope rockstar goes the way of THQ.

Maybe your pc ran the game like stuff because your pc is stuff?????????????????????????????

it's pretty common that minimum requirements =/= smooth and good

on PC launch GTA V was hilariously broken
... to get it to run I had to disable my NVidia drivers, launch the game, re-enable the NVidia drivers before the game crashed due to running on my intel chip
it was kind of a pain, and then running the game at minimum resolution was interesting, with insane input lag (which surprisingly still exists if your framerate tanks)

give away whatever money I have online
is that even possible?
I've been looking for a way to give money to friends to help them start out, but can't find a way

(if you're really looking to get rid of your account though, I know a friend who can play singleplayer but not multiplayer, and would be fun to play with them c:)

Gta v was a bad port? Lmao I was able to beat the game running a constant 25 - 30fps using intel HD integraded graphics from a 4 year old laptop
"running a constant 25 - 30fps"
yeah on minimal settings so it probably looked like it was being played on a ps1

lowest settings at 1366x768 (my laptop's res) looks just as good as the PS4 version just with no AA. Are you that spoiled in terms of PC performance and looks?

What video card you got mang

Now you've got to be bullstuffting. Are you seriously saying that a PS4 is only on par with your stuffty laptop?

Now I could understand there being such a huge issue if modern consoles weren't literally PC's in a box.
But their architecture, as far as compilation goes, is damn near identical if not entirely identical.
But the important thing to note is that, yes, they would Still need the months they did to optimize it for all hardware,
but I don't think they even tried to do that, they just made sure it ran on all hardware.

And hell this is for the side that GTA V is supposedly more biased toward.
If these are my problems on an Intel and Nvidia build, holy stuff, AMD builds must be committing Self Delete running GTA V right now.

jesus h christ people saying gta 5 runs like stuff lol get a grip

this modding bullstuff is too far and I'm probably gonna uninstall the game sooner or later, no point in having it if I can't mess around in singleplayer without the threat of the stuffty online service no one even likes getting in the way
