Author Topic: why are linux users the most friendy* loving pieces of stuff on the planet?  (Read 7152 times)

Because they are the Edgiest of hipsters. They are like poor versions of maccigarettes.
This

much like vegans, they get real close to you and say "btw i'm a linux user".

there isn't that many upsides to using linux for a home or gaming machine, it's great for server machines as it's free and lightweight, but nothing else unless you want to jump through hundreds of hoops to get one game working.

it's not the best operating system unless microsoft allows for the exe format to be usable on other operating systems and/or some wizard makes exe files work on linux. another alternate is every developer making copies of their programs for linux, which happened in a tiny amount but never went anywhere (steam supporting games for linux became popular for a while, then died off).

also that friend penguin

the people who use Linux think they're geniuses but in reality they aren't

like what's the point of afcking raspberry pi if you can't eat it got dam

Real power users install TempleOS. Why would anyone ever use another operating system when there's already one created in God's image? You wouldn't go against God just to use Adobe and Microsoft products, right?

linux is cool if you're a person who cares more about complete control over your computer (as a person in an IT career would) than about convenience and ordinary distractions

i'm not one of those people though forget that i need my windows games and software more than i need this cool UI theme that i have to spend 3 days to get working

install gentoo
how about i install an icepick into your head

how about i install an icepick into your head
only if it has gentoo loaded on it

no
hmm, forget you
it's not the best operating system unless microsoft allows for the exe format to be usable on other operating systems and/or some wizard makes exe files work on linux.
ur a fool

sudo pacman -R toxicology

ot:
yeah as a linux user
most linux users are the most obnoxious pieces of stuff including myself
especially arch linux users
example:
"woah hey guys i just want to taste a bit of linux just to see what it is"
ubuntu users: "Well if you want a smooth transition choose this distro, it looks nie and functions well."
debian users: "Well if you want a bit of a different experience, you can choose this dist-"
arch linux users: "loving REEEEEEEEE JUST USE ARCH LINUX HERES YOUR FIRST COMMAND "ls" HAVE FUN"

"""upgrade""" to linux

I love spending 20 hours at work fixing Google's garbage open source library that selectively decides when it wants to compile or link properly.

But really, having to do that sucks but being able to do it is great too. Have been bitten by arbitrary untraceable bugs in proprietary closed source software before. The toolchains for various embedded platforms are particularly bad, and good loving luck if you ever need to touch anything Xilinx shat out.

and/or some wizard makes exe files work on linux

i wonder if there was something for this... hmmmm

might have to think about it over some wine.
