by the time it's wall of flesh, new players will be put into a situation where they have almost no health and are forced to go off of older tier armor and weaponry
terraria progress is based off of what the world has saved, and not what the player has actually done. in minecraft it would make sense because everyone is different and you can choose to live by yourself and live normally, and you can start anew and it'll just be normal minecraft.

while I guess this is fair, minecraft and terraria are completely different games regardless.

khorde will probably handle the server fine anyway, if it's in hard mode, then people should probably get to hard mode on their own or something if nobody can provide supplies for them or struggle too much with an underpowered character.

there isn't any /easy/ way to deal with new players entering hard mode, so that's probably your best bet at that range. also khorde I'll def join at some point, seems fun

MC does do well at people getting on at random times, but I feel like terraria is more like borderlands in that everybody should be present for everything in it

I was never banned. I just joined on an op character, then pah said to join on a new one. I created a new character, got some (weak) gear out of the chests you had, I dared you to PVP me, you rekt me, then i created a new character, then got equal items to you, even though some were past you they did almost nothing to help me (chain guillitines, venus magnum, which only serves as a hardmode upgrade to the pheonix blaster, doing a measly 36 damage with no autofire, and some bat wings, where i did not have a pair of very early hardmode wings as i only got them all mid hardmode)

You stripped me down to some very early hardmode stuff and then forced me to remove even the Clockwork Assault rifle, and then thought I had some more bullstuff, then, as I transferred my Blessed Apple from the character I created for that world, you told me I was cheating, even though you saw it.
I removed all that stuff, and you barely let me have my Onyx Blaster (Which you had) and Chain Guillitines (Which I had to convince you were useless against people with above 30 armor). I also had molten armor and you made me take a screenshot of both my armor/accesories screen before even daring to PVP me. Which is all I really wanted on that character.
