Even so, the fireworks that are legal here kinda suck.

My sister's boyfriend bought some of the stuffty ones, and he went to a truck called "Willy's Fireworks" and got one that was claimed to shake windows 5 blocks away.
"I called him out and said it was bullstuff", he said.
Set it off, and it wasn't even like a firework. It just kind of exploded, no special effects. It output a really loving loud noise for such a small burst.
EDIT: pretty sure it's not legal. The good fireworks are in the back of trucks that if you go back the next day, are gone.

In my state it's illegal to shoot them off without a license but forget that, we always go out of town and buy like 200 dollars worth and shoot them off anyways.

When you live in a state (Colorado) in certain areas that has constant forest/wild fires they banned them years ago, it could rain everyday and they would still say nope ILLEGAL, no one ever gets in trouble though only supposed to call 911 if you are injured.

same in minnesota. fireworks are illegal, but the police won't come after you for using them unless something goes wrong. basically they'll just top it onto the charges for whatever dumb stuff you cause by using them (injury, destruction of property, etc.)
