What is BLIVE?
BLIVE is a Blockland addon hoster that guarantees you lenient rules, full anonymity, and the ability to adapt to its userbase over time.  It also has an active moderation team.  It's also very fast and is designed to work on any screen size and shape.
What are the features?
  • full styling of the body with Markdown
  • a diverse range of addon types to choose from
  • the faq is actually useful
  • you may remain fully anonymous if you want
What are the caveats?
  • you need to request the deletion of an addon if you want to update it
  • except for the naming, there is no user identity
  • the site looks like a satire of 2003 web design
  • the site looks kind of shoddy to newcomers because i had to kill various bugs on its first day of launch

How do we know it won't end up like BJWayMods?

Nothing can be downloaded?

How do we know it won't end up like BJWayMods?

Nobody does.  The least you can do, while wondering how long it will last, is simply hope that I can keep BLIVE up indefinitely.  People using it is definitely an incentive for me to keep it up indefinitely.

It's the responsibility of the uploader to include a Markdown-styled link to download it.

What the hell is the point of the upload button then? What's the point of a hosting site if it can't host?
Another stuffty attempt at an addon dump, I guess.

Not to mention what you just said is bullstuff.

If you read the upload disclaimer, you would actually UNDERSTAND.

"To make a link to your file in the body of your upload, simply link it to /addons/yourfile.zip."

Does this ring a bell?

We can't make it link because we don't have access to the FTP like you seem to think we do.

Why not just add a link to the file on the add-on page (as a part of the site)?

You are expected to compose the URL yourself based on the name of your file, I'm guessing.

You literally just type, with Markdown, [Download Me](/addons/file.zip)

Yeah, sorry, I forgeted up in how I said how you make a link, I guess.

EDIT: Also, that's an idea that I should have had from the start.  Thanks!!!

Download button is borked.

Download button is borked.

Yup.  Fixing it.  Unfortunately, I may have to clear the current addons database since it's a forgetup with the actual upload process.

all updates go on the discord

Oh, Verification, your file isn't working on its addon body for downloading because the file failed to upload— I will see what happened and I will be sure the upload error messages work.  I'm not home so I had to halt working on it.  I will see what happened in 15-30 minutes.
Also, I forgeted up the uploading system.  I need to fix that, too.

REMINDER: ALL FILES MUST BE LESS THAN 1MB BIG.

I like addon hosting competition. This does have potential, just needs more testing before public release
