If you remember all those fun halo servers from pre v21, and wish they would come back look no further
Halo unlimited is going to be a dedicated (hopefully) map rotating server coming within the next couple of months

COMMUNITY HELPERS NEEDED!!!
If you can make a good video to showcase progress, I need you
If you can build quality buildings and such, I need you

Update: I have literally made no progress at all, help

I'll be available on Wednesday to help. I can use ModTer to an extent to recreate some maps (I'm really only familiar with one or two CE maps and some Halo 3 maps.) DM me some maps you'd want me to try and recreate. I also event to some extent.

DM me the server password and addons you use for it so I can help out either side by side with you or by my own

tried to recreate death island from combat evolved a few weeks back
didnt go well
the layout worked fine but it just looks hideous so i scrapped it

i also started working on "the pit" from halo 3 but i got kinda bored
its not a very fun arena map since theres little variety in height and its not a very fun big team map since its tiny

i'd say a good map to start off recreating would be a box canyon map like blood gulch or battle creek

another thing i noticed while richarding around is that most of the halo weapons and vehicles we have now are total ass. i was totally willing to just make my own vehicle pack using the combat evolved models at that point. i'm still willing to work on it, if you want me to

what maps should I start first?

i have even more ideas id like to put out there if youre still thinking of going through with this:
vehicles
>ghosts
Ghosts should be bots, similar to horses, boats, and tank turrets. Not only will this make the ghost control 50 times better, but, to my knowledge, it should allow you to give it working turrets.
>tanks
Ignore wraiths entirely.
Make it so scorpions have an open driver's seat, similar to CE, in order to allow marksman to shoot the driver. An open roosterpit means a tank can be neutralized by a sniper or a few jackasses with assault rifles, instead of requiring another tank or heavy weaponry to destroy.
>warthogs
Three classes: Machine gun, rocket, and troop transport.
Machine gun hogs and transport hogs are obvious, one fires bullets really fast and the other is a killtacular on wheels. I imagine the rocket hog as behaving more like Halo 3/ODST missile pod turret than the CE or 2+ rocket hogs.

just some ideas though
anyone got anything they'd like to add?


I have a full collection of wip combat evolved campaign/multiplayer maps that Dillpickle and I worked on years ago. They're on a spare drive in the garage hidden below a stuff ton of boxes but if you really want me to put forward the effort to find it than i can.
