Nothing "protected" under a capitalist society is safe from its expansion forever. Nature is being used as a fuel in an attempt to satiate the insatiable hunger of capitalism.

God bless america, smoke the trees

Capitalism allows me to murder any living thing I want as long as it isn't American or white, from chicken to Turkdevil I either consume or kill them with weapons provided by capitalism. #GodBlessAmerica #AllahBePraised #October15thNYC

This is unfortunately the reality of having an area with amazing biodiversity within an economically-unstable country. They're going to cut down the trees sooner than they'll let people starve, obviously.

it's funny because norway said they're gonna start cutting funds for them if they didn't slow down deforestation

the sad thing about our national parks/forests/reserves is that they needed to be classified and bordered at all because we cant trust ourselves to not forget them up.

but it works at least lol

funds... for the protection of the forests. those funds would have a small effect if any on the country's economy
