Despite what granny says, cartoons arent just for children.
Look at family guy, and any of the recent super hero cartoon movies.

Im getting some serious "video games are just for kids" flashbacks.
but youre literally watching cartoons for children
what the forget is this argument

who said they're only for little boys and not for big boys too? why can't all boys enjoy something if it's enjoyable? why you gotta stop the boys from being the boys?

because either of them can't crack a cold one with each other so they must be stopped

it's pretty clear that the CEO's only focus is on adult swim which is horrible for up-and-coming artists and cartoons, which is why everyone should hate TTG

adult swim is pretty much independant

adult swim is a branch of the same broadcasting company as cartoon network and boomerang, the same person has control over all three

can someone expand on this I don't have a lot of free time RN

Teen TItans Go has a marathon just when Steven Universe decides to drop a bomb.

Sure, Adult Swim, Cartoon Network and Boomerang are all owned by the same Parent-Child Company Turner Broadcasting which is owned by Parent-Parent company Time Warner.

But each company has it's own CEO, regardless of whether or not they're child or parent companies.

Cartoon Network - Christina Miller
Adult Swim - Bruce Taylor
Boomerang - Guru Hariharan
Turner Broadcasting - John K. Martin
Time Warner - Jeff Bewkes

But basically Cartoon Network, Adult Swim and Boomerange answer to Turner Broadcasting which Answers to Time Warner, but still they do make decisions independent of each other most of the time.

Whaaaat? Naaah, they totally appeal to the older crowd! They have The Night Begins to Shine that has an 80's aesthetic and Cyborg even references Optimus Prime's famous line from that old Transformers movie, heck, Cyborg's general purpose is to appeal to the older audience with VCRs, the A-Team, brown townog TVs, The Pointer Sisters, HAL 9000, etc

If there's ever a reference to something from before the 2000's, it's probably because of Cyborg

Oh, and there's also that 'stuck on an island' series they had that was just one big reference to Castaway and Gilligan's Island

Pop culture references don't automatically make a show for all ages.

True, they're just for the parents/guardians of the child
