we all know what happened last time germany went socialist path

And this time japan and germany actually work together instead of having a long distance relationship.
Basically imagine if /POL/ took over Germany.

You ever been to a hospital in a socialist country? I have. They're awful. I'm sure you'd need me to post a Liberal Certified™ source before you could consider it a fact.

This isn't even relevant. We're not talking about fixing a sprained ankle, we're talking about something entirely too advanced to be supported by bare-minimum socialist funding.

you sound like you never actually went to a hospital in america and if you have, you and i have had entirely different experiences. we're not more advanced, as much as you like to believe we are.

stop taking rallys bait

stop taking rallys bait

but he's the EDiot we all need!!!

it's not even good bait

1. Stop blaming Europe as Acerblock proved nobody's at fault

2.
really sorry to hear the kid died. hope the parents are okay

you have this very strange ability for ruining jokes

1. Stop blaming Europe as Acerblock proved nobody's at fault

2.
Well this was really a game of mental chess outside of the situation itself, and europe cornered themselves into checkmate.

So while nobody is actually at fault, europe still forgeted themselves over for no good reason.

what are you on about matthew honestly

It sounds pretty clearly like the high court and the hospital are to blame, but of course you guys are turning this into an argument about socialism, when socialized healthcare had nothing to do with the kid dying.

Similar bullstuff happens in the United States all the time where people are legally barred from receiving experimental treatments for whatever reason. But you aren't going to blame market-based healthcare for that because it contradicts the narrative.

Selected cases:
-Dude on an employer health plan is denied access to an experimental treatment, even though it was in the later stages of clinical trials

-Little girl with rare cancer gets denied compassionate use of experimental treatments

It reminds me of those cases where a patient is comatose or braindead but a family sues to keep the patient on life support despite the fact it would be agonizing or meaningless respectively.

The last case like that I remember was a girl who had a catastrophic accident during surgery and ended up braindead. Her parents sued to keep her on life support though there was no chance of her waking up.

Yep that's Jahi McMath. She received a tonsillectomy and extensive mouth surgery to treat her severe sleep apnea, and then had a major bleeding event which rendered her brain-dead.

That's actually a very messy case, which I've read heavily about. For one, the family decided to bring Jahi a cheeseburger after her procedure, even though solid foods were obviously prohibited. But the hospital also didn't properly respond to the fact that Jahi was in an extreme amount of pain afterwards, and they didn't even notice she was bleeding out until way after she went into cardiac arrest.

It's further complicated by the fact that a law firm is currently milking the family dry by filming videos of Jahi's random muscle spasms and bolstering their belief that their daughter, who has extensive and irreversible brain-damage confirmed by dozens of experts, actually has a chance of recovery.
