Author Topic: Eruption of Yellowstone  (Read 3355 times)

Id have no more than 3mm so yay

one of my closest friends is a geologist. he says they're fully aware of this and are working to constructs a cork large enough to plug up the volcano for good but as you could imagine their supplier is running out of cork trees
makes sense

I'd probably get around a foot of ash.

oof

they should go to ireland

I always wondered how the government would work out the evacuation of massive areas like this. You have three weeks to corral several million people out of the area in a timely fashion, with minimal panic and maximum efficiency. It'd be an interesting project.

It'd most likely fail unfortunately since it would be near-impossible to evacuate what's basically 2/3 of the whole country that lives west of the Mississippi.

3-10 so i'd probably be mostly ok? and when i'm in college i'll be even further away from it, closer to the lightest yellow zone

Phoenix will get maybe over a half a foot?
Wow and all I have is a bike, and nobody here can even drive in light rain.

We're forgeted.

oh ya, Yellowstone is late for an eruption.
no its not
its due for an eruption
by due for an eruption i mean it due for an eruption within the next million loving years

haha we texans will get less than an inch of ash
get forgeted

Yellowstone national park is a place where people visit but it is also a Super Volcano.  If this were to explode now, this is what the ash levels would be where you live.

Even if you survive that, we would enter a somewhat "nuclear winter" where the ask covers the sun.  This is also how the dino's died.  We would have about 3 weeks notice before it blows up so you could high tail it out and go far away but the traffic will be bad.

Yeah I'd imagine it being a wasted effort and it'd probably be easier to allocate resources to the aftermath rather than any kind of evacuation procedures
