Author Topic: model of the iphone 8  (Read 4584 times)

it looks boring as per usual with the iPhone styling in general but now like 2x uglier somehow
also hello new phone ill be seeing everywhere soon

also it's loving THINNER OFC

Fingerprint sensor will be in/on the screen.
The technology for this just isn't there yet unless apple has done a forgetton more r&d than they normally do (and importantly they haven't patented the technology yet), and firmware leaks suggest it won't be there.

-snip-
apple has been talking about making an edge to edge phone screen for the past year (since not long after the 7 came out)

the only reason i'd actually get this phone is if it could be jailbroken. the iphone 7 already can't be jailbroken past iOS 10.0.2 due to its hardware, so the iphone 8 will probably be even tighter.

also am i the only one who hates the wireless charging gimmick? it's "wireless" except you have to keep it laying in one spot and it's slower than a lightning/usb-c cable. this goes for all wireless charging devices, not just the one they're making for the iPhone 8. i'll be pleasantly surprised if the charging speed for apple's wireless charging solution comes even close to using a cable.

can't wait to accidentally drop this

can't wait to accidentally drop this
man if you're dropping your phones that's your own forgetin problem bruh, you think those samsung stuffs won't break too

anyway yeah this is weird, but the 7 already doesn't have a physical home button so what the forget ever I guess, just get rid of all that stuff
personally I don't care about the bezel, it looks fine, but I guess a smaller phone couldn't hurt

understandable
but the convenience is also beneficial in most cases id think
charging speed really doesnt matter if you leave it "plugged in" over night

but then what does it matter if it's got a cord in or not if you're just going to be sleeping

yeah, when you're sleeping, charge speed doesn't matter too much (unless it takes longer than your personal sleep cycle)
i, however, have had multiple cases where i've spent too much of my phone battery in a small amount of time before having to leave the house. a fast charging speed helps in a pinch.
also, i leave my phone charger in one spot by my bed. i don't plug it into my pc because i don't have an open usb slot, and i only have one cord anyways. it's useful to have a cable that can reach my bed and my desk so i can reach my phone and use it while it's charging. with a wireless charging pad, you have to move your phone and the charging pad. it just seems like an unnecessary extra step.

isn't this just the Essential Phone but with a wider bar and an Apple logo

they brought back the headphone jack, but it's smaller than normal headphone plug for some dumb reason so you'll still need to buy a damn dongle to listen to music with it.

what the forget where do you pull that from lol
they're not bringing it back at all, it's dead, get over it holy stuff

I think it's actually thicker so it can fit a bigger "L-shaped" battery (from the schematics I've seen so far)

the design looks like a cheapo case.
imo though it looks like it's wearing a cheap case

To be fair, the model used in the video is a white mockup, which looks absolutely disgusting. I'm pretty sure if Apple wants to hide the top notch, there will be only black-front options which looks WAY better.

the border around the screen really throws it off and makes it look weird

with the S8 the screen is curved and so is the panel which makes it look much better

It looks the same as the last one. Why do people still buy these? They haven't changed since the iPhone 4 and they're stuffty anyway

i actually really like it
