Three things:
A. Have you never let the battery die and just constantly left it charging, that can kill Lithium Ion Batteries
2. Have you tried disassembling it and moving around your flat wires? sometimes that fixes it, mine would randomly shut off due to pressure around the home button, but that was because the flat wire inside was sat awkwardly.
▲. Have you tried shutting your console off and on? sometimes it's a connectivity issue and not a battery issue.

A: I have never left them to die as I play pretty much 65% of the time in handheld which constantly charges joy cons.
2: Should i disassemble it? Im kind of nervous? Also its the left joy con not the right, it shouldn't have to do with the home button, I'm pretty sure the battery just cant hold its own unless constant charge flow
▲: Its a battery issue, it literally won't turn on the green lights when its off a charge flow. The console immediately says "battery depleted" and shows the left joy con logo. I had reset my switch like a thousand times.
@: So I found people with similar situations, literally all solutions were just "it started working out of nowhere!"

If I could successfully swap the left joy con battery from my original grey one and transplant it into my white ones that would be loving perfect, I'll try it tomorrow. Hopefully I wake up and literally everything is fine. I'll actually charge the switch tonight with the switch completely shut down. This stuff pisses me off. I love Nintendo and defended it when everyone was stuffting on it for the technical issues with the broken displays, joycons, etc. But now I get it, its loving stupid.

li-ion batteries won't overcharge unless there's a problem with the battery

????????
glossy finishes are a thing of the past and they get dirty so easily just by laying a fingerprint on it. matte is where its at

it's too late, send your switch to the ethiopian highlands, the snow monkeys might get some use of it

So i have an extra pair of joycons, the old original grey that came with the switch. I'm planning to order the screwdriver necessary to take out the battery and then transplant the battery into the broken joycon. If transplanting a perfectly fine battery into the joycon doesnt work, I dont know what the forget will help. Seriously, am I right in believing that this is 100% a battery issue?

Just use the default joycons lol what is so special about your le special fancy white ones
