Author Topic: computer freezing out of nowhere  (Read 739 times)

Sometimes when I'm playing a game or just doing something in general, my computer freezes out of the blue. This freeze is permanent and also stops all sounds which leads me to performing a force shutdown.  I do think it's my power supply that is causing this problem, but I'm not too sure.

what is going on

Why do you think it's your powersupply? Did you recently upgrade something that would draw more power?

Check out Event Viewer if it has any leads to what is causing your problems.

I thought it was my power supply at first because the wattage is 430, which is pretty low for my computer, and I've been reading minimal things online with people who have the same problem saying that it could've been their power supply

what am i looking for exactly

(EDIT)

found these tho

look for the events in system log both right before and after the freeze and following shutdown

you can try googling for additional information of the cause with the event id

this might be useful for you
