Hurricane Harvey Discussion Thread

This system honestly scares me for how it has bombed out in the gulf the past 24 hours and the environment/water temps have the potential for it to be a cat 5, however nhc has it currently forecasted to be a cat 3 at landfall. I honestly hope that anyone on the Texas coastline/Corpus Christi/San Antonio/ and Houston area watch this system very closely and evacuate if it's mandatory.

Hurricane harvey is about to leave a dent.

it's been officially declared a hurricane, upgraded from a mild tropical storm

partially unrelated, but I've been keeping an eye on it for a little while now. It's been moving extremely slowly, 10mph with occasional times where it's been recorded at 2mph, so it has a lot of potential to intensify. Plus, that update indicates that it's going to slow down even more as it approaches, which means it can get even more strength

Probably, but one of the few things you have to worry about is the rain
