people are saying valvetime also put this up on their twitter earlier but quickly removed it. not 100% sure about the situation itself but the tweets alone and their quick deletion but forget it at this point i'm not sure how much weirder it gets than laidlaw posting the entire plot to the series

managed to nab a screencap from the thread they were mentioned in

half life 2 sucked really bad and I could go into major detail like I have. It's literally the same as duke nukem forever.

i would legit like to hear your detail
i've beaten hl1 and hl2 and all were really fun, especially love all the cool speedruns of it
duke nukem forever sucked ass and i just didn't like playing it

hey can someone tell me which of these links is the one that leads to a rickroll because I can't find it and I'm starting to panic

People said it's my fault I played half life 1 first instead of starting with HL2 "like every normal person"

they are seriously telling me I shouldn't have started with the first game lol. Well after playing the first game it really showed how bad the second game was.

for once i agree a forgetton
the enemies in half life 2 had way too much loving health. no matter what difficulty you're on a normal enemy shouldn't be able to stand 6 shotgun blasts to the face. the guns also just aren't fun to use compared to both its contemporaries and the original.

ravenholm doesn't have a fantastic atmosphere. it's just dark. the zombies aren't something that comes as a shock either since 1) you've already encountered them, and 2) the first game's early chapters had a ton of them.

the vehicles control like total ass despite one of the episodes being 50% car driving. by the point that hl2 came out halo CE had already been out for a good three years, so it's not like we didn't know how to have vehicle controls in an FPS.

are you loving kidding me the enemies in half life one are so much worse. it literally takes two mags from the smg to kill one soldier

forget you half life 1 and 2 are good games

Quote from: Marc Laidlaw
And here we are. I spoke of my return to this shore. It has been a circuitous path to lands I once knew, and surprising to see how much the terrain has changed. Enough time has passed that few remember me, or what I was saying when last I spoke, or what precisely we hoped to accomplish. At this point, the resistance will have failed or succeeded, no thanks to me. Old friends have been silenced, or fallen by the wayside. I no longer know or recognize most members of the research team, though I believe the spirit of rebellion still persists. I expect you know better than I the appropriate course of action, and I leave you to it. Except no further correspondence from me regarding these matters; this is my final episode.
This part hit me hard, It tells us how Valve as a company changed. I'm so sad that we'll never get HL3 but at the same time I'm glad we got some kind of closure.

I think you have the games reversed

when you think about it it's really loving depressing that the biggest trendsetters in the entire gaming industry have become just regular old trend-followers

I wonder if this is enough to pull Valve out of radio silence or if they're going to ignore it

they became complacent, because they had a license to print money with steam

forget you valve. ruined the game i grew up with. never forget this date.

You changed epistle to episode. Epistle is a real word

i don't care who you are i know i had fun figuring out how to cheese every single enemy out on hard difficulty by doing stupid ass stuff like shooting them in the hand
