When Beachbum does it it's kinda understandable--his life revolves around feeling some sort of smugness when he gets people mildly irritated over the Internet. When you join in, it's kinda like stripping off your clothes and throwing your stuff at random people so that the local chimpanzee will think you're cool. It's funny for a minute, but mostly just sad.
