DDoS attacks on different servers?

So apparently, my cinema server after reaching a playercount of 10 players (top server on the server list), started receiving random lag spikes which never happened in the past.

And these lag spikes looked a LOT like the ones experienced earlier in the day on Refticus' Block party server (which is also suspecting a ddos attack + made him close for a while (note: he doesn't use glass hosting)
My cinema server runs on Glass Hosting and never had a single latency issue with this service in the past, so I personally don't have any way to track this down (server's game console shows nothing suspicious) but I notified Jincux and I honestly think theres something going on.

I also asked some people on the server which told me many server had this thing happen to them aswell

sylvanor's server was experiencing moderate lag for a while
some servers went up to 4000 ping
it appears to be a global issue

it is a dos/ddos attack on server hosts.
the problem persisted even after closing blockland and the server, i had to restart my router and change my ip to stop the attack.
incredibly annoying as i just wanted to host a blockparty.

Every server I've been on has lagged the hell out, and BLGlass too.

us10 has been null routed by Linode due to an incoming DoS attack impacting their network performance. Several other servers receiving inbound DoS attacks, but they typically only last long enough to crash the server and then stop.

There really isn't much I can do moving forward except hope that this stops. This is indeed Linode's policy, and if this continues to happen there is nothing I can do about it. I will continue to search for solutions.

The only person I can think of who's able to pull things like this off is MOR. But as far as I know, MOR isn't around anymore.
