it is impossible to be 100% serious when youre visiting the off-topic section on the forum of a decade old indiegame

How weak-minded humanity is and how easy it will be to control them one day.

older games develop hierarchys in users especially when forums are present (eg runescape)

 it taught me to stop trusting people more than I should

I think the first thing I learned here as a kid was that people aren't good people just because you look up to them. But that was way back in fifth grade.

Over the years the forums basically just taught me to be just a bit more mature. Acting like a handicap really won't get anyone anywhere unless they're trolling for fun.
