Having a beard doesn’t mean it wont work

Cool, but the last time I tired it, it forgeted up a good 80% of the time because of it.
I had gone to an apple store to get my 6 looked at after the home button got stuck, and the sales person kept trying to push the 8 on me saying that the facial recognition would be the next big thing. I asked for a demo and they tried to map my face. It didn't work out and I'm still skeptical.

So yeah, unless the 10 is super advanced and knows how my facial hair grows on a weekly basis, I'm not convinced. Im still not convinced about the finger print lock.

Uh as far as I know Apple would never offer a demo for an unannounced feature, especially in apple stores
How did they map your face exactly?

actually though why does snapchat look like ass on android? when you look at the camera specs they usually match up pretty well so its gotta be the software
Snapchat on Android doesn't actually take a picture through the camera, it takes a screenshot of the camera feed.

Touch ID, or really just fingerprint biometrics in general, is probably the safest and fastest way to secure and unlock your device. Touch ID (and so will face ID) is even used in first and third party software for authentication. Apple Pay auths through Touch ID. When I log in or buy stuff from Amazon, I use Touch ID to auth. When I access my bank account on my phone, I use Touch ID. The auth process is so fast and easy, there's no reason to use a pin or password. You can't unlock your phone while you're still pulling it out with a regular pin. It's that fast and easy.

yay a bigger loving phone of the previous products, now all completely touchscreen

we all want that dont we

Yea I had to look that up and I never knew it does that method, Snapchat's team is full of lazy people, why not just detect if it's a 5.0 phone to use the camera API method, and if it's not 5.0 or over then it should use the crappy method, it shouldn't be thaaat hard to do - they shouldn't make people using high tech phones suffer because people still use much older phones

does iphone x have a headjack *wink*

It's an IOS specific app I think is why. I believe IOS users have access to some things android users don't have in general on SC.

im probably wrong but doesnt it have something to do with on android, snapchat takes a screenshot of a picture essential where as with an iphone it can take a picture directly

this and iirc Snapchat is optimized and mainly developed for iOS, for Android it's basically semi-low effort port

iPhone 8.
-the sales person kept trying to push the 8 on me-

This conversation is over. Im not sure why you want to question a personal experience.

If it worked most the time, Id enjoy it more. Apparently working with your hands is a against the rules.

I still don't get why both Samsung and Apple are releasing two different phones this year.

Also am I the only one suprised that they made the phones a lot cheaper than before?

Should also put note that pretty much everything except the iPhone X is available on my birthday.

Am I getting it? No, lol.

it seems like most of that $1,000 price goes into hardware, not rugged build quality.

dude what is this phone going to run that the last 3 generations couldn't? asphalt 8 at better fps?
