Blockland wont get any bigger with all the negative reviews on Steam

IMO the v21 change was the best thing ever. If you played Blockland before steam you would know that having a day-cycle and dynamic shadows was a blocklanders loving DREAM back then.

People will literally claim that there have been "no updates" since v21 (2012), ignoring dozens of updates because they're expecting an entirely new game - or something.  There's no point in engaging with this.

I am quite satisfied with how Blockland has evolved even with the smallest of updates! It would be really great if you could do some sort of "monthly" update Badspot, even if it's something as simple as adding a new ball or bot into the game - It would definitely hook more people in knowing they get a new hat/weapon each month or some stuff like that

i wouldn't call bug fixes updates, although they're certainly beloved just as much as one much of the time

blockland does not need monthly updates from badspot, it is a sandbox game and has the base features already implemented
if you want a monthly ball/bot/whatever, go to the addons section and download one addon a month

Just remember, many of those players were merely making suggestions, although they were babies because they didn't get their way, quite a few people got banned repeatedly because Badspot disagreed with their suggestions and the suggestion was escalated.

unfortunately most of the problems with the game (eg some functions, math problems, better performance, better reliability with ghosting and rendering objects) is only possible with engine modification likely, so in that sense yes, its done in terms of updates.

its pretty clear badspot doesnt want to or cannot tinker with the engine to fix these things, for whatever reason. if they were fixed or added, it would greatly help modders towards making content, but that doesnt reliably sell units so its never happening...
