Author Topic: PSA: Dropbox broke a bunch of add-on links  (Read 697 times)

So Dropbox removed the public folder earlier this year.  And, frustratingly, it broke a lot of download links on the forums.

So if you've ever used Dropbox prior to this year to host add-ons, please update your links by going to the file, right-clicking, and selecting "Copy Dropbox link".  And if you come across a link that isn't yours, PM the author (provided that they're not banned of course) to let them know to update it.

Also, please start replacing dl=0 with dl=1 at the end of Dropbox links; it makes it a direct download so you don't have to go to the website and click a bunch of times.

I'm so pissed that they did this because all my stuff is on dropbox
you can change dl=0 to raw=1 to get the file by itself again though

A while before then, new accounts wouldn't even come with a public folder anyway. Most people were making public links to files.
