i wouldn't blame the artists and animators who just worked on this, they got work and they took it. blame the producers, execs, writers, etc. who all pushed the show in this direction. wouldn't surprise me if it didn't even cross their mind that showing an adolescent girl's vagina on screen might be creepphilic and they just thought it'd be so gross and offensive that people would just have to laugh
