A huge scale TDM with a huge variety of maps, weapons, and vehicles to play and experiment with.

        Key features:
  • Massive maps 1500x1500! You will need a plane or a helicopter if you want to arrive at the frontlines.
  • A big variety of armor, weapons, and vehicles.
  • Multiple map-based game modes, capture the point or destroy the enemy base.
  • Multi-layered maps! The maps also have underground caves, sometimes big enough to travel from one point to another without being seen.

What do you think of the map?

Am gonna assume no there won't be vehicles based on terrain, so recommend tone down size of map.

The main focus will be on air battles and artillery, Large maps are needed to make sure that artillery does not become OP and a large map will let players fight with planes and helicopters without exiting the playable area.

The reason for this is to force players to cooperate with the rest of the team, they will have to use the helicopters as a team, not just steal one for the fun.
If they do decide to go on foot then they will have a reason to play more... tactically... Due to the fact that if they die and for whatever reason decide not to take a vehicle then they might take some time to arrive at the enemy base.


This is a generated map, so I will experiment with making terrain that will be easier to navigate with a vehicle until then I will just have to focus on changing the gameplay to fit the map.


I hope you don't get this the wrong way, I'm not trying to fight you, I'm just kinda tired since its already 10 pm and I woke up quite early today, so I'm trying to articulate as well as I possibly can, tho I have some limits.

Also just a note: I really love the feeling on the old TDM servers when the pilot was dodging cluster shells from a howitzer and at the same time trying to evade AA fire from the enemy, it was lot of fun, maybe I should add parachutes to the server, after all, most of the flights ended on the vehicle crashing, haha.

this post singlehandedly gave me some wild kinda ptsd but other than that this seems like it'll be kinda cool to play really am looking forward to this


Oh, just assumed there wouldn't be vehicles based on steepness of terrain. Air vs Artillery battles sounds great though.

you should put a bunch of turrets and scaffolded towers around the map and on the hills

yeah this looks pretty dope. id suggest only keeping it to heli's tho. dogfighting in blockland is horrible and planes would just be used to annoyingly bomb or shoot rockets at people on the ground

Dogfighting in Blockland is great, actually. You just need to practice. The solution to the latter is to focus on dogfighting, because planes take the focus away from fighting on the ground.

Well, thank you! I am working hard on finding builders, tho until then I'm trying to find out what the best weapon pack is to recreate the old feeling of the TDMs, I found the pack they used, but I also found a better pack that added a bunch of awesome guns.

Well, it is not the focus of this map, but id be lying if I said that I didn't hope to add at least some trucks, I am experimenting with the terrain generator to see if it is possible to do a better terain for vehicles.

That is my intent, while this one will be more focused on just goofing around, in the old TDMs you had to capture bases around the (HUGE, way bigger than this) map, those points once captured would give you all kinds of bonuses, from spawns and AA guns in a mountain to a super heavy assault Russian Vulkan tank in a cave.

Tho I can't seem to find what mod they used to do the capture the base thing, that might be the reason why this is more focused on attacking each other and there is no real objective, players are still free to find secret points of interest tho.

If you somehow find the mod they used do tell me, I will do research on my own tho, so I might find it soon.

You are right, and to be honest I won't dispute with you since apparently the airplanes they used for the server where custom made.
Some modification of this (http://orbs.daprogs.com/rtb/forum.returntoblockland.com/dlm/viewFile6017.html?id=517) with more passengers who could sit on the wings and stuff.
Anyways the point is that this one did not shoot, it relied on the co-pilot and other crew to attack, sadly I wont be using it.

Well, I'm quite bad so I'm not sure about it, either way, I'm not sure I even own any good packs of planes, if you have any feel free to link me to it.
I'm always searching for new content to make the server better and the loading times longer  :cookieMonster:

Also just a note here: I'm pro-preservation of maps (saves) so if I will release the saves of the maps I make/generate for everyone to use.
I will upload the map you saw on the screenshots for public use later on, once I finish experimenting with the generation tools.

Although there is a distinct lack of tanks.
