we all see terrorist attacks and horrible stuff happen on the news but when that stuff happens in your city.... it loving shakes you. hearing those sirens in the distance was something out of one of those mass pandemic horror movies. im still in disbelief

You're right, it's a completely different world if it hits near home. On 9/11 people were probably shaken with hysteria when they saw the towers fall. I don't even know if they identified most of the bodies down there.

you know as well as i do that truck ramming attacks are far and few between, especially when compared to mass shooting in the US.
acid throwing attacks are generally one-off. they usually don't end in death, and especially not of 50+ people in one day.
