Author Topic: Crowd Funding Fraud Leaderboard  (Read 5121 times)

i don't know if this would count in this or not, but some dude had a warrant, lied to the local police, evaded police until being arrested, then got all charges against him dropped and started up an online crowd funding campaign in which he got a whopping $24,599 through blatantly lying to people about the whole thing

https://youtu.be/q9kFROyekxg?t=1178 or 22:30 in the video if you want to skip right to the money amount, or just watch the whole video if you want to get context and camera footage of the start and mid-point of the situation

If we're going to dip into personal gofundme type stunts, it's basically going to be all of them.

Badspot, your idea is nice and all... But what about portability? No one can take a window with them on the go.

I say we replace the car's windshield instead.

adaptable to any translucent surface!

Put them on sunglasses so you can stare at the sun to charge your phone.

Good read, cheers.

I try to be optimistic and sing praises about how we humans are smart and right and just but, forget me senseless, we really all are handicapped.

This is a great point, which is why I'm excited to announce SolPoint Social™ as a stretch goal.  This tiny verison of our device provides the same great experience of SolPoint™, but in a fun on-the-go package.  Share your stored solar energy directly from one phone to another using our proprietary beam technology and companion social networking app.  Instead of sending your friends a "like", why not send them renewable energy?

why not call it solPoint or sPoint and capitalize on that undercase letter market?

On some other forum I browse, a dude got ousted for having some crowd funding thing for targeted bullying. People paid him money and he'd go make fun of people.

I dunno what's worse, that it was a thing, or that he was making a good amount of money off of it.

scratch that

Only works when first letter is a vowel.

anyone wanna fake a huge SJW youtube channel thing we can raise money for? idiots will just waste their money anyways, we are only doing them a favor by enjoying it over some scam charity.

In the 90s, 'e' was also acceptable. Like the popular San Francisco auction site, Electronic Bay.
