He's posted a single time since we found his diaper stuff. I honestly thought he killed himself.

it's especially stupid when (ive already mentioned this in op but it's worth a post of it's own) vinesauce rev posted a video that was literally just nothing. black screen, no audio. it had no content, which means it couldnt have any bad content. and even that was flagged by youtube.

after you've reached a certain threshold youtube starts automatically flagging your videos for a period of time.

please tell me that this is a joke

cant find the video atm, sure its been posted some time on blf before but basicly
videos being demonitized isnt entirely youtubes fault. they are just notifying you that your videos have been demotizied from the companies advertising them. you can attempt to "un-demonitize" them but you'll have to go through some dumb stuff to do it. i dont remember the whole video but its up to the advertisers if they want to stop advertising the videos- not youtube. that would be illegal if youtube forced advertisers to advertise videos.

It's still youtube's site and they're still the ones pulling the ads off the videos.
But it was still a compromise they had to make otherwise a lot of advertizers were going to be taking their business elsewhere.

Which is still completely loving stupid. I don't understand what kind of thoughts you'd have to have to go through with a business decision like that.
"Hey, lets pull our ads off the biggest internet ad market because a small fraction of our ads are being shown on things we don't like."

for example that jonny jonny forget my life kind of stuff is monitized

ill say it again- youtube isnt the one pulling the ads, its the advertisers, and alot of the videos that have been de-montized were already long before de-monitized, its just that youtube now notifies you about it. and yes, it makes complete sense a company would pull their ads off of a video, if they do not like the message it is converying or just the content inside of the video, they have full rights to demonitize it. remember, if youtube forced them to monitize those videos, well, that would just be completely illegal. equally, youtube cannot remove advertisements either. that wouldn't make sense, why would they remove another companies advertisements? do you think that makes sense? think about it, it doesn't. the "advertiser friendly" guidelines were created as a base for reasons they would- or have- removed monetization on videos.

Advertisers are too sensitive to the kind of videos they put ads on. Why should the company choose it's market? It should be the other way around.

They should have first done research to see where users went flocking before they decided to undercut the most successful videos. Seriously it's not smart advertising and it's a big surprise that corporations struggle to adequately market to a captive audience, and then betray the trust of said audience by calling the content police—YouTube—to make up for their incompetence.

Put a small disclaimer on the bottom of all Youtube ads that reads, "The source content does not reflect the views of the advertiser." CrCIA averted.
