Second version of the guide done in a place where you can actually edit, so I'm not flamed/degraded by Ephi/Trader/Any other person who thinks the FAQ is bad even though they wouldn't go out of their way to make one themselves to correct the problem.
Social Skills
Q: Someone just called me a n00b! What's that mean?
A: "N00b" is an insult that's usually defined as any idiot or jerk who plays an online game and says that he's better than everyone else even though he's clearly (or unclearly) worse. On Blockland, it means anyone who:
- Asks for admin on a server completely at random
- Places a little red brick down, spawns something, and than leaves the server without clearing the brick
- Spams up a server with baseplates
- Verbally abuses (Cusses at/is mean to) a fellow player
- Trying to use ANY weapon outside a minigame.
- Hammering or spraying paint on people outside minigames.
- Any combination of the above
All of these things are really frowned apon on the Blockland forums (and Blockland itself) and if you're not careful you could be labeled as something similar to a "N00b for life"
Q: I just got disconnected from the server. Why?
A: Either you just got kicked, banned, they have some add-on that is required, the host exited, or the server or your Blockland crashed. Don't be a noob and obey server rules to avoid being kicked or banned. If you are missing some add-on, it is likely a brick add-on and you either find and download it or forget the server. In the events of crashing, you may not be able to do anything about it. If the host left, just find another server. If they want to host again, they will so don't ask them.

Q: Help! Some random n00b/someone angry at me has trapped me in a generic pillar of death!
A: Try Ctrl-K. If he tries to do so again, then report the little n00b to the resident admin or super admin.
Q: How do you switch to third person?
A: Press Tab to change between the two views.
Q: How do I sit?
A: Try /sit.

Q: What's a tool?
A: Anything that's not a weapon. :P
Q: Why can't I use _____ on this server?
A: The host of the server doesn't have it installed/activated in add-ons.
Q: What's "Pinking"?
A: Pinking is the term used for spraying someone with paint. It's really annoying, and the term was coined back in Beta Blockland. It's also frowned apon, and can get you a kick or a ban (Known as a Kickban)
Q: What're FX paints?
A: FX paints are the paints on the far side of the paint selection menu. Instead of actually turning the bricks a different color, they make them glow, blink, undulate, among other things. To get rid of them, use the Stable FX and the None FX.
Q: What is 'Rainbow Spam?'
A: Rainbow Spam is what it's called when you have a bunch of Rainbow FX bricks spamming up a server. Do not want.
The Wrench

Q: What does the Wrench do?
A: It lets you spawn items, vehicles, emitters, music, and lights on bricks. They're generally not activated in minigames and DMs because of so, but they're commonly used in regular building.
Q: What's "Lock" mean?
A: It means to lock a particular field: For example, if you have a bunch of lamp posts, and you want to give them lights, you can either give them each lights individually by using the drop down menu, or you could lock the field and skip the drop down menu step altogether. Efficient!
Q: What does "Recolor Vehicle" mean?
A: Having Recolor Vehicle on makes it so rather than having to paint the vehicle each time it explodes/respawns, it sets the vehicle's colour to the vehicle spawn's color. Good for, like, DMs. Or camouflage, if that's your thing.
Q: What's an Emitter?
A: An Emitter is the general term for a brick that emits particles, like Fire, Lasers, Water, Smog, and other such things.
Q: I can't spawn a vehicle/some music on this brick!
A: It's probably not a vehicle/music brick. Check the Special tab in the brick menu.
The Hammer and the Wand

Q: How do you get the wand?
A: Try /wand. That works outside of minigames, with the exception of some RPGs. Which are not released.
Q: What's the Wand do?
A: Basically, the wand breaks bricks that have something on top. It also breaks the bricks on top, if the brick you break with the wand is the only thing holding it up.
Q: Why use the hammer, then?
A: The hammer DOESN'T topple everything and anything in it's path. For instance, if you want to clean a small misplaced brick on a baseplate, and you accidently click twice, you would clear anything on the baseplate rather than just the brick. If you do so with a hammer, than you'll just clear the brick you were trying to hit, because it's the only one 'exposed' to the hammer: The baseplate has something else on top of it, so you can't break it.
Q: Why can't I break this guy's brick?
A: You don't have full trust with him most likely.
The Printer

Q: What's the Printer do?
A: The Printer allows you to PRINT letters and decals onto a few special bricks, called the print bricks, usually just shortened to Prints. You can find them in the Bricks, Ramps, and Tiles sections of the brick menu, usually at the very bottom.
Other held items and add-ons[/size]
Q: Where do I extract add-ons?
A: If the .zip or .rar has a folder called "Base" or "Add-ons" in it, than extract to the main directory. If not, extract to the add-ons folder.
Q: How do I make an add-on?
A: I would answer that question, but someone else already has. You should check out the Add-On tutorial, by Azerath.

This question inspired by an actual newbie who mistook the console as an embodiment of evil. Evil, I say!Q: Can I get a glossary of Blockland terms?
A: Yes.
- Retail: The version of Blockland you're playing! :D
- RTB: An older total conversion mod of Blockland v0002 (?), similar to Retail, but with worse graphics. It's being moved to retail though with the advent of V9.
- Detail: The amount of bricks you added to a build, and how well you painted them. For instance, a house with overlaying 2x1 bricks painted realistically for walls probably would have alot of detail, wheras a bunch of 1x5x4 bricks for walls would not.
- Build: A BUILD (Noun) is any structure made by blocks. To BUILD (Verb) is create a BUILD (Noun) with bricks.
- Owned: To spectacularly defeat someone. Generally in DMs.
For instance blasting a guy into the air with a barrage of missles and than jumping to meet him and finishing him with a melee weapon without being hit once is typically considered ownage. - Freebuild: A server where there's no real rules. Traditionally run by idiots (n00bs) but there are some run by more respected members.
- N00b (or noob): Any idiot who just can't figure out that simple things like "You can't put a brick in a brick".
Q: What is the differnece between a newb and a n00b, if any?
A: A newb (newbie) is anyone new to a game. A n00b is a moron who seems to be a newb but has been playing for a while. Or just a moron. Whichever.
