an overload of cgi would be if they made the dino stuff cgi

i bet you loved speed racer

i think the only things that weren't cgi were the faces

- monster movies that focus on the humans rather than the monsters
personally i say monster movies that focus on boring, uninteresting humans

Tremors is one of my favorite monster movies ever made because the ensemble cast is full of funny, charming characters who you really care about and don't want to see die. Unlike, say, the boring marine from Godzilla 2014. People always say they want a godzilla movie with nothing but godzilla but I honestly think audiences would be bored watching 90 minutes of CGI punching, you need something to spice it up.

- obscure art film that wins allllllll the Oscars even though no one saw it
What if the art film was actually a fantastic film and deserved its accolades? The idea that a work must be popular to deserve praise is just plain stupid, in fact on page 3 you complained about overhyped movies with little substance beating out films with real work and artistry put into them. So now I have no idea what your opinion even is on this matter.

the ending was loving stupid and there was a lot of awkward cheesy acting yes

but stuff like that is still unsettling

The issue there is that a lot of these "art films" have very uninteresting concepts and are only getting in on diversity points. Kubo and the Two Strings has a clear plot with build-up and payoff, along with Song of the Sea. What is the plot of Moonlight, last year's "Best Picture"? Gay black guy. That's it. I can remember when a film summarized as "trans person does things" got in. It really is more of a political problem than an overhype problem, but it's still there.
