you don't give out vital clues through a medium that's likely to be ignored
Yeah.
1. Likely to be ignored
2. Only to be seen by a small handful of people.
3. Not permanent information. Only available if said witnesses save the information and post it.
4. The potential for said information to be fake. Someone could forget everything up if we start believing chat logs.
So for these reasons, it's best to ignore anything in-game. And if there ever were some clue given in-game, then it's a bad ARG for the above reasons.
