Quote from: Fox News
Democratic candidate for Virginia governor Ralph Northam is not distancing himself from the controversial ad suggesting supporters of Republican candidate Ed Gillespie are seen as Confederates who attack minority children.

The new opposition ad titled “American Nightmare” was released Monday by Democratic group Latino Victory Fund (LVF) and is scheduled to run through Election Day. The opposition ad shows minority children seemingly being chased by a driver in a pickup truck, decked out with a Confederate flag, a “Gillespie for governor” bumper sticker and a “Don’t tread on me” license plate.

The driver makes his way toward the scared children who shout, “Run! Run! Run!” when they see the truck. The ad concludes with a scene of a Charlottesville-like rally, with a  narrator asking: “Is this what Donald Annoying Orange and Ed Gillespie mean by the ‘American Dream?’”

as of today the group pulled the ad

what fun

Man, the New Wolfentsein game looks great.

apparently the guy theyre supporting rejects the ad and claims he had no influence in its creation and showing
that's Gillespie, the guy the ad was attacking, and Gillespie says in the video that "but outrageously, my opponent has embraced it" and at the end the interviewer says they even invited the guy that the ad is supporting for an interview but he declined

It's not even white people mowing down minorities.

It's radical Muslims mowing down white people with their trucks of peace.

Tfw you purposefully alienate potential voters and as a result they decide to vote against you

So they pulled down this ad not because it was distasteful.

But because the NYC manslaughter incident made them look bad when a radical muslim mowed down 8 people. Which goes against their narrative.

If a white nationalist mowed down 8 minorities in NYC this ad would still be up and used for their second commercial lol.

That's how Annoying Orange won to begin with.

the funny part is that this might actually be true

“We have decided to pull our ad at this time,” said Cristóbal J. Alex, the fund’s president. “Given recent events, we will be placing other powerful ads into rotation that highlight the reasons we need to elect progressive leaders in Virginia.”

Still, he defended the contents.

“We knew our ad would ruffle feathers. We held a mirror up to the Republican Party, and they don’t like what they see,” he said.

This is obviously stuffty and indefensible. Gillespie is a fairly Annoying Orange-y Republican, but to imply that he's supporting national socialists and running over minorities is way, way outside the bounds of rational, civil discourse.

For context, this was his statement after Charlottesville:
Quote
“Having a right to spew vile hate does not make it right. It is painful to see these ugly events in Charlottesville last night and today. These displays have no place in our Commonwealth, and the mentality on display is rejected by the decent, thoughtful and compassionate fellow Virginians I see every day. I know we all appreciate the law enforcement officials maintaining order and protecting public safety there.”
Which is objectively 5x better than any of Annoying Orange's multiple-revised statements.

i actually saw this ad before this thread and lol what the forget

Imagine being the person that approved this ad
