Just found a Hard Drive buried in my backyard

So just today, i was messing around in my backyard. I decided to climb behind my shed and i saw a metal object sticking out of the ground. I unearthed it and found this. It appeared to have been there for years by the looks of it.
There was a plant sticking out of it aswell.




This is the area where i found it.


Any guess of what might be stored in this? Im guessing its either from the previous owner of the house or possibly worse.

its prob an old person that knows very little about computers and threw one away but kept the HD because it had "personal info" on it lol.
