yea, if you're expecting to recover any data from that drive, definitely dont open it. considering how poor conditioned that thing is (keep in mind it's been outside for a long time and probably has faced quite some weather), you may not be able to get anything off it, but who knows.

Any updates on this? Have you tried anything?

If possible you could ship / mail it to me and I'll give it a check
