Remember Blockland Fort Wars? Sometimes you would have that one starfish that would keep strafing your base. Or perhaps a troll would ruin the fun by spamming bricks, the chat, or would event relays that spammed impulses. Maybe you were about to conduct an elaborate raid in a vehicle, only to find yourself in the stratosphere seconds later. Well, let's not worry about that now. Play the same Fort Wars here, but in a turn-based format that will ensure that players can build with and fight on their terms and without the opportunity to senselessly spam and break the game.
Q: How do I join or leave the game?A: To join, just paste the following in a new post: | I hereby join the game! | To leave, paste: | I hereby leave the game! |
Be sure to also specify your starting location on the map.
It is also important to remember that once you leave the game, half of your belongings will go to your team, and the other half will disappear. Structures you created will remain. You will not get these back by re-joining. Getting temporarily banned from the game will result in your structures staying, and all of your belongings returning to your team until you return. Getting permanently banned will result in your structures going to your team and your team obtaining half of all your other belongings. If you are a lone wolf, your goods & structures will be free for others to claim.
Q: How does building and fighting work?
A: Each turn, you can have one focus,
Building or
Fighting, and you are permitted to switch between each type of action. For instance, you cannot fire a gun and build a protective fence in the same turn, however, you may build the protective fence on the turn before or after you fire at your enemy. You don't need to necessarily state either of the two actions, but moderators will discern what you wrote to determine what kind of action it is. Note: If your action contains both, moderators will take the first type that you mention.
Q: How do we know how much we can build at once?
A: Each building action will be outlined in the secondary post. It is not finalized at this time, however, this allows you the opportunity to build teams, forge alliances, and
spit on your enemies.
Q: We can have teams?
A: That's right! Each
Faction is a team, complete with its own members, leaders and followers. You can found, join, leave or disband a team at any time, unless the leaders of that team decide to restrict your rights as a member. They cannot, however, prevent you from leaving the team if you want to leave. Leadership within the team has the rights to choose how the team works and how the team is structured.
Q: Can we teamkill?
A: No. POLL 2 determined that friendly fire is off.
Q: How do we fight?
A: You cannot determine whether you kill, hit or not, as moderators will control that, however, you can say what you want to kill them with, how you do it, where you wish to aim, etc.
Q: What happens when we die?
A: You die. You must say that you respawn in order to respawn. You cannot do any other action except equip items that are available in the same room that you are in. You cannot respawn the same turn on which you died.
Q: How do we create a team?
A: Use the template below
(Replace any field surrounded by {} to change its detail. For instance, {NAME} might become John Doe.) All information below is required, but it is a suggested template. Feel free to adjust it and add new fields to your liking. If you are designating a different founder
(For example, if you are just managing the team post), please mention it.
