As for as eventing goes, nice job! I don't think the size of the garage matters, but I do believe the garages need to look nicer.

I would say they should have a more street/urban look to them, with at the least a grey interior; however I know you’ve already gone to duplicate them and it would cause issues. If it somehow wouldn’t, or it wouldn’t cause much issue, I would really recommend doing so. It would give them more of a NFS feeling.

no actually it would be really easy to just fillcan the white parts grey. i'll keep the neon band around just so they are the same color as their slayer teams.

If he is using tall vehicles then yes, but most racing like vehicles in BL are low to the ground, so this is not important.
What I would do however is make the doors wider, they seem a bit to skinny.
I have also built garages for my racetracks, though I did it pretty differently to you. Here are some images for ideas and/ reference (hope you don't mind me posting these, I can remove if you like):

I was also thinking about some decorations, like maybe a toolbox, or a stack of tires, and maybe a few rims hanging on the wall. I suppose that can be done easily with New Duplicator but I don’t know if you’d want to put that extra time into it.
