What is there to debate when you carrotcigarettes start victim blaming

he's not a victim or a perpetrator, he's a man who was fired for having something to do with an allegation, and later took his life

Everyone did their job. The possible victim complained to HR that they were loveually abused in some way, HR told the party about the complaint, party fired people. Nobody is at fault

Tbph, I can't tell if this trend is actually a thing or if it's just a leftist witch hunt. Not saying I believe either sides in any particular scenario. I'm just surprised it's suddenly happening and it seems so coordinated. Some of these are even outside of the statute of limitations, meaning it will have no legal impact but will still defame someone royally.

I think the Harvey Weinstein thing really opened the floodgates for people to talk about their loveual assault. If you're in a climate of rape accusations it's more appropriate to come out, in the normal media sphere there would be more uncertainty and ridicule

I'm waiting to Steven Hawkins to be convicted

I know full well that it wouldn't gather attention from today's media, but does anyone have the statistics on how many accusations & trials are surging as a whole? I'm not hearing much about this from low-profile individuals, only celebrities.

the point has been totally missed in this thread. the problem was how the allegations where handled. the leader of the welsh labour party or whatever basically decided to completely kick out carl sargeant and ruin him without telling him any details about any of the alleged offences.

How do you handle something like that? The longer you have a tarnished image, the faster your investors interest and support decreases

carl sargeant was known to be mentally unstable/slightly stupid by pretty much everyone in his constituency and he was bullied in the welsh assembly. he was literally fired from the cabinet without being told anything why, and the next day he name was tarnished in all the newspapers/tv about his "loveual assaults", whilst carwyn jones (welsh labour leader iirc) was being interviewed telling the world how much of a hero he was for firing sergeant, whilst he still hadn't actually told carl sargeant what the allegations where about.

i know where you're coming from, but imo even if carl sargeant did do what was alleged, he still shouldn't have been treated this way. many other uk politicians have been accused of loveual assault/harassment and tend to stand down themselves, rather than being forcefully ejected.

either way, after the allegations have came out (true or not), it's very unlikely they will be voted for again.

I don't believe he committed any of the allegations (yet) but I'm guessing he has some level of involvement, he's not the only one to be fired

welsh are ethnically inferior do not let them have their own country

wales only makes the UK worse. let them have their own country so they can destroy themselves
