These are forums. They're a place of discussion. People want to discuss things relevant to them, and they want opinions and commentary from like people (in this case, we all are connected by the game Blockland, and some of us are friends). Off Topic is a place to share stuff unrelated to the game that you still feel is interesting, and News typically makes for better discussion than the kind of low-grade garbage spam that once polluted AoT.

You don't get to choose the content. You get too choose how you react to it. This is a poor type of reaction.
