also notice how throughout this entire thread I have not said once whether I am for or against net neutrality
I never said you were against it, throughout any of my posts (saying you used a fallacy doesn't count since I think you're still trying to make up your mind on it, finding counterarguments is part of that process). Should I make some crazy insult about how you have a viral infection because you assumed something incorrect? No, because that would be supporting the extreme degradation of political discussion that has grabbed this forum by the balls. Everyone makes mistakes, that's okay.

I actually did make a mistake though, I meant to say "guilt by association" instead of ad hominem. If I say that Carl Marx was pro-free-speech for example that doesn't lessen my argument, it's just an irrelevant fact that contributes nothing, especially when so much other evidence has already been provided (This is particularly relevant for Net Neutrality).

reddit is charging in with it's pitchforks full-on again, this time at senators. they're lynching senators that sold to the telecom lobbyists, and approving senators that refused to sell and are trying to defend net neutrality

is a 72 virgins joke applicable yet

you should exchange your santa hat for a turban and then youll be good to go

forget i forgot to contact Flake about the tax bill
which, for the record, is A) at least as important/damaging as net neutrality, probably more and B) congress can actually do something about it

not what I'm saying

if you took a stance on something and said "See? Even Charles Manson and Vladimir Lenin supported this! Get on board!" then that's pretty loving laughable at best and self-defeating at worst
i mean you're right that it's a piss-poor argument (popularity does not make the truth) but are you really implying that Sanders = Lenin

also notice how throughout this entire thread I have not said once whether I am for or against net neutrality yet you're all so rabies-induced that you can't tell the difference between someone who's on the fence and someone who disagrees with you
to be fair, usually when you argue with someone it's because you disagree with them

probably cus ur acting more like someone who disagrees with us instead of someone who's on the fence with this

groper and socialist >>> normal people with opinions

I'm going to be brutally honest, your reasoning skills are forgetin garbage

Being in favor of net neutrality is doubtingly a good, pro-consumer policy. This isn't a partisan issue at all, yet people keep making it out to be because it makes it simpler as an us vs. them sorta thing.

i was saying that my senator supports net neutrality and that that was 1 (one) good opinion of his. i wasn't trying to use some celebrity endorsement ethos to say "hey look! everyone's favorite al franken supports this so you should too!"

have you actually said anything in favor of net neutrality? or that would indicate you're not against it? you only seem to be arguing against it.

i wonder how many beers franken was in when he took that picture

100%
The fact that nothing can be done to eject him from his position due to his lack of democratic vision is dissapointing at best.

idk man a lot of politicians/administrators in the current us government seem to oppose popular views, if you go by media-reported issues/views as popular.

today, people are protesting at several verizon stores
