How should I look for ram?

How should I look for ram?
just look up ddr3 ram, you'll find stuff

Find out the make of your motherboard and then consult the manual over the internet for the type of ram it can support and order it online. Most motherboards support a wide range of ram.

if you can find your motherboard on pcpartpicker then you can get compatible ram

Impossible to tell unless you tell us what motherboard you have. The RAM you linked is ECC memory, which will only work on a motherboard which is ECC compatible. These are quite rare for desktop gaming computers, which don't usually need the extra assurance of data integrity provided by ECC memory sticks. This is the kind of thing you usually only see in servers and high-end workstations.

You should try to find a regular stick of DDR3 RAM that's at a similar price-point.

Ah

Seventh beat me to the punchline but
That motherboard is not ECC compatible and thus won't work with the memory you linked.

Do you have anything specific your looking for (cheap, certain amount of gb, etc...)?

what's DDR? I have a sneaking suspicion it isn't "Dance Dance Revolution"

the ram you linked is server ram and not desktop ram.

honestly, shop around all sites or literally wait til tomorrow for some DDR3 sales.

chances are you'd get a 16GB kit (DDR3) for less than or equal to 50 bucks.

Also to note, your mother board appears to only support up to 16GB of ram.
