the fact that people would willingly let beautiful pieces of art be either figuratively destroyed (as in no one can listen to it and it fades into nothingness, though still existing) or be unobtainable by anyone just for the sake of ego-wank copyright laws is baffling.
unless brawlbrstms was trying to re-sell the copyright holders music or earn revenue from re-broadcasting it, there is no harm done and in fact it lets the music become more desired and popular, generating publicity about it
those who will pirate music are going to pirate it regardless of whether or not the publisher provides it for sale; unfortunately nothing can be done to stop those kinds of people. but those who actually like the music and want to listen to it are going to pay for it, because they believe in the idea that music artists deserve to be supported and financially encouraged to make more music as such
