Yes, but it'd require engine changes.  Also, it'd prevent you from using the normal print letters as "glowing" signs in the dark.

I think it takes away from the blocko feel too much.

Qft.

So? We can use the glow effect. that would work...kinda. the Print+light thing needs to be worked out.

Maybe if you made the print semi-transparent.

I don't like the glowing prints anyways. Too unrealistic for my liking.

Its a game where little block people run around and build things.... how more real do you want it? I don't think this game could get real...

Does that not count as avoiding the swear filter?

Swholli. You bring up a good point. Your a piece of plastic (so to say) Running around in a 2d world. You can shoot people with a bazooka and they wont die. run them over with a car. Hit them with a freaking AIRLINER And they wont die. Its definatly not realistic and thats the love of it. Just like legos. You can do what you want, It gives you the freedom to build what you want. For instance. If you want a giant ice cream cone (not swear filter, im serious) You can just make it with legos or blocks. If you wanna do a little roleplaying, you can, This game isnt ment to be realistic. This game is ment for people of all ages to have fun. Just like super smash bros brawl (excellent game BTW. Waited outside of a game stop with RKYNICK for it on the 8th. Totally worth it. Totally recommend it).

No.  Think of building signs in Bedroom Dark.  The print letters show up bright white even though the bricks all look black.  If Badspot "fixed" the full-bright issue, you'd no longer see the letters in the dark.  This means that you'd have to use an actual light to make it visible.  More lights equals more lag.  Besides, there are much more important issues that need to be worked out...like transparency sorting.

Also, for those of you stuck on the whole "reality" issue, reality doesn't necessarily mean the reality we experience in real life.  Just like there's a certain "blocko" style, there's a realm of what feels "real" in-game.  It's not a definite list, so it's hard to predict what will work.  You know it when you see it.
