in-game chat links won't open

so if there is a hyperlink or any kind of link in-game, if i click it, it won't really open anything....what i remember doing a bit of time ago was i changed something in my windows registry so it would open in the right browser, but i no longer use that said browser so i need some kind of assistance on this.
